Introducing......Wild Oak Summer Camps!

May 29 - June 1    Drama in the Forest   9am to 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Tuesday - Friday  - Ages 4-14

Nature Stories, Hiking, Singing and Poetry. We will be working on a dramatic performance as part of this Waldorf-inspired Language Arts week. Held at Twin Canyon Camp in Lafayette.

June 4 - June 7    Geography I   9am to 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Monday - Thursday  - Ages 4-14

Orienteering, Hiking, and Games. Learn to use a compass, make trail signs, and create your own unique trail map of nearby Briones as part of this Local Geography week. Held at Twin Canyon in Lafayette.

June 18 - June 21    Henry Thoreau for Kids   9am to 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Monday - Thursday  - Ages 4-14

While Henry David Thoreau lived more than 150 years ago, we still draw inspiration from his writings about Walden Pond in which he touches upon observations about individual rights, social justice, civil disobedience and our natural world. We will work on roughly 20 hands-on projects that bring his ideas to life through experiences with our natural world. Held at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church in Walnut Creek.

July 9 - July 12    Kindergarten in the Forest    9am to 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Monday - Thursday  - Ages 4-6

Inspired by the Waldorf education model and the forest schools throughout Europe, this camp for the littles nurtures a child’s sense of wonder and creativity by allowing them to explore the wonders of these gorgeous 14 acres. Held at Briones Regional Park at 2525 Reliez Valley Road, Martinez 94553.

July 23 - July 26  Hiking and Wilderness Exploration 9am - 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Monday - Thursday  - Ages 4-14

Hiking, Story and Crafting with Nature as our Guide! We will hike into beautiful Shell Ridge. Held at Mt Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church in Walnut Creek.

Aug 6 - Aug 9    Geography II    9am to 1pm

Four-day Mini Camp  - Monday - Thursday  - Ages 4-14
